The Arts
The Arts Shine
A broad spectrum of arts programs provides many outlets for campers' creative interests.
Professional artists and teachers work with children in separate, well-equipped studios
for ceramics, woodworking and art. Daily and weekly elective periods provide boys and
girls ample time to complete projects and explore all of the choices. Studios buzz with
excitement as campers saw and sand the pieces of a chess set, throw that perfect pot on
the pottery wheel, or prepare for the Art Show to display their paintings, drawings and
craft projects.
Dramatics, dance, gymnastics and music complement a busy schedule. Performing in a
theatre production, taking a bow and enjoying the cheers and applause of fellow campers
build confidence and camaraderie. The dance department offers instruction in jazz,
ballet, tap and the latest popular dances. Our gymnastics program incorporates
a range of apparatus as well as floor work for campers of different levels.
Campers of all ages join in camp songs, many enjoy learning the guitar and some
bring their own instruments to practice with our music specialist.
The arts programs are designed for all age groups and ability levels.
Enjoyment of the arts is the goal.
